My name is Cathie Garber and I’m running for Charter Review Commission, District 2, Position 2. With over 25 years of experience in elections administration—including 15 years as Director of the Clark County Elections Office—I bring a deep understanding of how local government operates within the framework of our state Constitution and laws. In 2024, I was honored to be named Washington’s Elections Administrator of the Year. As a Certified Elections Registration Administrator (CERA) and a member of the Executive Steering Committee that implemented VoteWA, I’ve always worked to ensure efficient, transparent, and legally sound election processes. I’m committed to thoughtful, collaborative service on the Charter Review Commission—listening carefully to your ideas, asking critical questions, and helping craft proposed amendments that are legally viable, fiscally responsible, and rooted in good governance. I would be honored to earn your vote.
As a candidate for Charter Review Commission, District 2, Position 2, I am committed to representing the voices of our community. If you have ideas for improving the county charter, thoughts on proposed amendments, or concerns you'd like addressed—please reach out.
